Tom was there. He could have been sleeping, but as Tim got nearer his eyes fluttered open. Tim kneeled next to him and shook his shoulder, like his mum did to get him up in the morning, a tear rolled down Tom’s cheek.
“C’mon lets get you out of here.” Tim said weakly. He draped Tom’s arm round his shoulder and stood up. Tom didn’t offer any resistance, but he was a dead weight.
